The Mercedes Benz Superdome is located less than a mile from Q&C HotelBar New Orleans. Home of the New Orleans Saints, the Sugar Bowl, and some of the biggest musical acts in the nation, the Mercedes Benz Superdome is always in consideration for major events like the Super Bowl, the College Football Championship Game, and the Final Four. Most recently the Superdome hosted the Super Bowl in 2013. Originally built in 1971, the Superdome gained international fame in 2005 when it housed thousands of people seeking shelter from Hurricane Katrina. The building suffered some damage during the hurricane as well and was closed for many months afterward. The Superdome underwent renovation and reopened in 2006. In 2011, Mercedes Benz purchased the naming rights to the legendary venue, but most people still refer to it as simply the Superdome.
